II am ‘Lamide Johnson, born into a family of five. My Father
– Folaranmi Salaam Johnson, my Mother – Abiola Sarat
Johnson, and my adorable sisters Abimbola and Olayinka
Johnson. I am the first child and only son of my parents.
Mother frowns at me whenever I say that. She says she
has plenty sons and daughters. I insist I can only see three
children.
When people say they remember all they had gone through
while they were kids, I wonder how possible that can be. I
wonder how, if that is probable, they remember the taste
of milk as they suckled their mother’s breasts or the friends
they had while they were in kindergarten. It amazes me.
