Fighting the demons that haunt you
Standing there, right in front of you –
never leaving, never sleeping, never
weary
Whether your eyes are open in reality
or closed in dreams – you see them
Scary, hideous creatures - the demons of regret
I see you wish
Wish life had a really big eraser, one
big enough to clean up errors made
Wipe clean dirty slates and get rid of
mistakes
But no, life is not so nice
